It was a weekend of endurance for several members of the Bury AC senior section. Ben Coop and Sophie Whittaker competed in the International Snowdon Race on Saturday, competing against athletes from the UK and overseas. Ben took 30th place overall in the gruelling event over 10 miles up to the summit of the mountain and back. Sophie was the first finisher in the under 20 female category, finishing strongly to record a time of 1:37.14.

Sunday saw 3 Bury senior athletes competing at the Bolton Ironman event, comprising of a 2.4 mile open water swim; a 112 mile bike ride and ending with a full marathon.
