It was a win today for Bury AC at the first Northern League fixture of the season in Carlisle. Some terrific individual performances and great team spirit, with some athletes doing 6 or 7 events to earn crucial points for the team.
Proud of you all.

Inaugural Bury AC 10,000m race held last night. It proved to be a great event and whilst Ben Coop ran away as clear winner there was a brilliant battle for second between Josh Birmingham, Bryn Reynolds and Dave Norman. A massive thanks to everyone who competed and to our fantastic volunteers. Definitely an annual fixture from now on.Image attachment

A 5000m would be a great event too and perhaps attract a wider crowd who may feel a little pushed on 25 laps around a track. Well done though, sounds a cracking event, if not a little daunting. 😀
