The club is delighted to announce that following a consultation and election process that Bev McAuley has picked up the position of Women’s Captain. She takes over the role from Hannah Lucas who has done the job magnificently for several years over which time the ladies team has gone from strength to strength.
Whilst the role focuses on the leadership of the senior team, Bev will also be a familiar figure amongst the younger members. With her daughter Lois being a competitive young member Bev knows how important it is to support our younger athletes to develop and to ensure we retain them in the sport.
We all wish Bev every success in her new role which she will hold for the next two years.
