We are delighted to announce that the work on the facilities at Market Street is drawing to an end. The new track is now available for use and we expect the jumps facilities to be ready soon after a small amount of snagging work is undertaken.

As a club we are indebted to Bury Council for the work they have done in coordinating this project and for investing £250,000 as match funding. We also record out thanks to the significant grant providers Suez and Veolia for their generosity in making this happen. The project was overseen by Sportslabs, with Hunts Contractors Ltd as the primary construction team, with support from Polytan and Premier Line Marking. Our thanks also to Ed Hunt from UKA for his support and advice.

It is our intention, once we are approaching the track and field season, to host an inaugural meeting at the track to act as the formal opening of the facility and to offer our thanks to the people who have made this possible.

The facility places track and field at the centre of Bury for at least the next 25 years and will enable Bury AC, as a registered charity, to fulfill its charitable objectives.
