Bury AC’s Ruth Worthington Features in UK Athletics Video

Daisy demonstrating javelin technique.

Bury’s Ruth Worthington has been asked by UK Athletics to appear in a video they are producing about the growing role of women coaches in the sport. The cameramen travelled up from London to film Ruth in action with some of her young athletes but they had not bargained for the Arctic conditions which hit the track on Sunday. Not to be deterred, Ruth showed some innovation and snowballs were used instead of javelins to capture the impact of her sessions. The cameramen were impressed by Ruth’s ingenuity and the hardiness of her athletes in braving the winter weather. Well done Ruth!
