We are pleased to announce that following a recent inspection by UKA that our new track and facilities have secured TrackMark accreditation. This permits the facility to be used for training and competition. The accreditation is valid for 3 years before we will be inspected again.
This is great news. There is no doubt that our old track would have failed the process so the £315,000 investment in the new facilities gives the club and athletics a new lease of life. Jacqui Veal, the Head of Wellness for Bury Council, who worked closely with the club on the track renewal project said “This is music to my ears. Well done to you all for having the wide vision”.
