Ethan Statham was Bury’s sole competitor in the Cross Challenge series of races in Cardiff. The races acted as trials for the forthcoming European Cross Country Championships and the event saw the best cross country runners in the UK racing each other.  Ethan competed in the very competitive under 13 boys race over 2.8 km. He settled into the second group and ran strongly to take a brilliant sixth place in a time of 9.32. The 22nd November will see another challenge for Ethan as he competes in the British Cross Challenge at Sefton Park in Liverpool.
