Club Treasurer Jean Simpson MBE was the toast of the town at the recent unsung heroes awards. Jean is pictured receiving her award from the Mayor of Bury Cllr Stella Smith and the Mayor’s Consort, Cllr John Smith. Clearly the organisers were impressed by the thousands of hours that Jean has selflessly given to athletics and Bury AC over her 55 year involvement with the sport.
Well done Jean – we are all proud of you!
