With Greater Manchester entering Tier 4 on New Year’s Eve there are implications for the way the club operates.
The current Sport England/England Athletics guidance does allow the club to re-open the facility from 4th January but there are some significant changes to the types of sessions we are permitted to hold. Thankfully, we can continue to provide sessions for our under 18s maintaining the maximum coach to athlete ratio of 1:12. Sessions must continue to be pre-booked and pre-paid for. However, group sessions for athletes over the age of 18 cannot take place. Senior members may pre-book sessions but there is a limit of only 2 people from different households being able to train together. Again sessions must be pre-booked and pre-paid for. Sadly, there will be no competitions taking place whilst we are in Tier 4.

Guidance update (updated 24 December) – Athletics & Running (englandathletics.org)
It is vitally important that all members observe the guidelines and that social distancing is observed at all times and the instructions of the club’s Covid Officer are adhered to. Coaches will be issued further guidance from the facilities team.
Given that the situation is fluid we will aim to update this website as and when further guidance emerges.
