The Wheels for All charity made use of the Market Street track for the first time this weekend. Having secured grant funding for a portacabin to safely secure their equipment the volunteers were delighted to support the disabled athletes with their first lap of the track.
Bury AC Facilities Officer Roger Morley said “I am delighted to see all the hard work in the development of the site to support Wheels for All come to fruition. The athletes clearly enjoyed the experience of racing around the track. This is yet another example of our Market Street facility being used by a wider section of the community”.
The Wheels for All initiative is a nationally recognised programme that embraces all adults and children with disabilities and differing needs to engage in a quality cycling programme.
